THE DRAFT
"Through the kindness of Mr. Jos. Schnell, an assistant of the Provost Marshall of this district, we are enable to furnish the names of the drafted men who were compelled to enter the service and also the names of the substitutes. That the Draft was a complete failure, in getting men from this county. any one can see at a glance. The popularity of the war is wearing out, the people are getting tired of it, and no man that can possibly remain at home will enter the service. Such is the moral of the late draft. The following are the names of the men and substitutes passed into the service, with the general result of the examination.
